2017 U17 World Hockey Challenge

Returning to Fort St. John and Dawson Creek for the second time in three years, the World U17 Men’s Hockey Challenge was hosted from November 5 to November 11, 2017. 

The United States took home gold beating Team Canada Red in the gold medal match with a final score of 6 to 4.

3 Canadian teams and 5 international teams from the United States, Russia, Finland, Sweden and the Czech Republic competed in the 2015 World Under-17 Hockey Challenge. This international event included 22 competition games and 4 exhibition games. In Fort St. John, the games were played at the North Peace Arena and in Dawson Creek they were played at the Encana Events Centre.
