Bouncing Beans | Sundays 11:15am - 1:15pm | Ages 1-14Y

Bring your kids to play with sport gear, crawl through tunnels, and jump on bouncy castles! Guardian supervision required, indoor socks or shoes are required for kids & guardians. Pass required as on-site payments aren’t accepted. Purchase a drop-in pass or Fieldhouse Programs 6/12 Visit Passes at the Visitor Centre or North Peace Leisure Pool. For added convenience, Fieldhouse Programs 6/12 Visit Passes are available online at fortstjohn.ca/ActiveNet. Just provide your Pass Number at the Fieldhouse—no physical pass needed!

North Peace Leisure Pool | Spring Break Schedule Optimized for FUN (March 16-29)

What’s new? Lucky Charm Swim – Search for gold on St. Patrick’s Day, more full-access rec swimming, two chances to conquer the floating obstacle course & adjusted lap swimming & drop-in fitness to accommodate everyone!  And the best part? Thank You PETRONA Paint the Ice | Sunday March 16

Come join us for the final PETRONAS Sunday Free Skate of the season and stay to paint the ice.

  • Afternoon FREE Skate: 1:30-3:30 pm
  • Evening FREE Skate: 4:30-5:30 pm
  • Paint the Ice: 5:30-6:30 pm

Check in at the Visitor Centre (required), bring your helmet (required), wear clothes you can get messy, and bring a pair of indoor sneakers (no heels) to help paint a large-scale art installation on the Oval at the Pomeroy Sport Centre. No need to register, see you there!

Spring Break Toonie Tuesday Movies at The Lido | Tuesday, March 18
Looking for some budget-friendly fun over the break? The City of Fort St. John Recreation Department and The Lido Theatre are bringing you Toonie Tuesday Movies —just $2 per person! Don't forget to grab some classic Lido popcorn and enjoy the show! Plus, a portion of proceeds will be donated to a local charity.

Kaleidoscope Workshop | March 28 | Friday March 28
Join us for some City of Fort St. John arts programming for kids with the FSJ Arts Council and Diana Hofmann Art for a fun and creative evening! Diana will guide children to build and decorate their very own Kaleidoscope.
Parents, we need you to stay with your kids and help through each station. Kids under 5 must stay within arm’s reach, and older kids can move through stations independently. Learn more HERE.

  • Bronze Star
    The Lifesaving Society’s Bronze Star develops swimming proficiency, lifesaving skill and personal fitness. Candidates refine their stroke mechanics, acquire self-rescue skills, and apply fitness principles in training workouts. Bronze Star is excellent preparation for success in Bronze Medallion.

    Recommended that candidates swim a minimum of 100 metres of front crawl, back crawl, and breast stroke, and are 12 years old (by last day).

  • ASL Club
    The February session of ASL Club originally scheduled for February 27 will now take place on February 10.
  • Radiant Lotus Women's Qigong
    This is a 9 week course, not a 6 week course as stated in the guide.

The City of Fort St. John Recreation & Leisure Guide is a quarterly publication highlighting all programs, events, courses, and activities the Community Services Department puts on. The guide also features information on parks, facility bookings, bylaws, and contains a community directory for organizations that offer specific recreation and leisure programs. The Recreation & Leisure Guide is only available online; however, hard copies are available for viewing at the North Peace Leisure Pool and Fort St. John Visitor Centre (inside the Pomeroy Sport Centre).
