Conference or Event Sponsorship Grant
Through the Conference or Event Sponsorship Grant, the City of Fort St. John aims to support conferences or events held by community groups or organizations in Fort St. John with financial assistance of up to $3,000.
Grant Eligibility
- The organization, club or group must be located primarily within the city of Fort St. John or offer programs or events within the city of Fort St. John.
- The Conference or Event must begin within 365 days of the date the grant is awarded.
- The applicant must meet one of the following criteria:
- A not-for-profit society incorporated under the BC Society Act
- A charitable organization registered with the Canada Revenue Agency
- A recognized club or group in the community with registered membership in or affiliation to a regional, provincial or national governing body.
- Be considered in good standing with the City of Fort St. John - that is that is have no outstanding accounts such as unpaid taxes or accounts.
Evaluation Criteria
- Demonstrate a benefit to the City of Fort St. John and align with the City's Strategic Plan.
- The organization has demonstrated sound financial and administrative management.
- Potential positive impact on the community.
Application Process
Applications are accepted throughout the year by completing the form below. Applicants are encouraged to submit their grant request as early as possible in the planning process leading up to the event for which funding is requested.
Additional Information
- Applicants will be responsible for obtaining a Special Event Permit, if required.
- Applicants will be required to recognize the City's contribution.
- Applicants will be required to submit a brief post-event report.
