City and Fort St. John Association for Community Living working on potential downtown housing project

The City of Fort St. John and the Fort St. John Association for Community Living are working together on a potential housing project for the downtown core on the remainder of the old Fort St. John Hospital site. Previously, the City sold a portion of the old Hospital site to VRS Communities to develop a 115-unit senior housing complex.

The potential project, operated by the Fort St. John Association for Community Living, would focus on inclusive and accessible workforce housing through a mix of unit sizes, from one to three-bedroom units, while also including subsidized units for individuals with disabilities within the community. 

While still in the preliminary stages, the Fort St. John Association for Community Living is working with BC Builds to move this potential project forward by posting a Property Opportunity Notice. We are excited to provide options for those we support and model inclusion,” stated Fort St. John Association for Community Living Chief Executive Officer Jordan Soggie.
