Let’s Talk Building & Sign Bylaws
The City of Fort St. John Development Services Department has two Public Open Houses scheduled in May for the community to learn about proposed updates to both the Building Bylaw and the Sign Bylaw.
Due to changes in provincially legislated requirements and public feedback, City staff have modernized language and layout of the Bylaws, and drafted updates to the terms and schedules to be more inline with other municipalities in our region.
Anyone interested in learning about the proposed Bylaw changes are invited to attend the open houses which are being held on two separate evenings:

The draft Bylaws will be brought to City Council for discussion at a Committee of the Whole Meeting on June 10; first and second readings of the Bylaws are expected to be scheduled for later in the summer.
