Healthcare workers can shop local to win

The City of Fort St. John, in partnership with the Mayor’s Standing Committee on Community Economic Development, is excited to announce the launch of a Shop Local Campaign just for healthcare industry workers. This local economic development initiative aims to recognize and celebrate the efforts of our local healthcare workers and support local businesses in our community.
How It Works:
Participating businesses will hand out entry ballots to healthcare workers with every purchase made in-store between June 10 and 24. Filled out ballots are then dropped off at the Fort St. John Visitor Centre for a chance to win a gift certificate from a participating business. Winners will be able to select a gift certificate from the participating business of their choice.

“We want our local healthcare workers to be recognized and celebrated for the essential work they do providing care and support for our families ̶ they need to know that we see the good they do in our community. Hopefully, by showing that we are a community that celebrates healthcare workers, we might help to attract additional doctors, nurses, and support staff to our region,” shared Mayor Hansen.
