Annual Santa Claus Parade and Tree Light-up happening Saturday

December 5, 2024

The City of Fort St. John is excited to host the Santa Claus Parade and Tree Light-up at Centennial Park on Saturday, December 7, 2024. Road closures will be in place at 94 and 95 Avenues between 100 Street and 102 Street starting at 3 pm to facilitate an unloading zone for parade floats. Additionally, from approximately 4 to 7 pm, 100 Street between 93 and 100 Avenues will be closed to ensure the safety of parade spectators and pedestrians. No public vehicle access will be permitted during this time. There will also be road closures north of 108 Avenue at 98 Street to facilitate parade marshalling.

The parade begins at 5 pm at 108 Avenue and 100 Street, traveling south on 100 Street to Centennial Park.

Post-parade festivities will take place at Centennial Park and Festival Plaza and include the Christmas tree light-up, complimentary hot dogs served by the Sunrise Rotary Club and provided by Save-On-Foods, free hot chocolate provided by Access Manufacturing LTD, and the chance to meet Santa and Mrs. Claus.
