Annual Santa Claus Parade and Tree Light-up happening tomorrow

The City of Fort St. John is excited to host the Santa Claus Parade and Tree Light-up at Centennial Park on Saturday, December 2, 2023. Road closures are planned from approximately 4 to 7:30 pm on 100 Street between 93 and 100 avenues to ensure the safety of parade spectators and pedestrians. No public vehicle access will be allowed during this time. Additionally, road closures near 98 Street and 110 Avenue will facilitate parade marshalling.

The parade begins at 5 pm from 108 Avenue and 100 Street, travelling south on 100 Street to Centennial Park. Join us for post-parade festivities at Centennial Park and the Festival Plaza, including the Christmas tree light-up, complimentary hot dogs and hot chocolate, and the chance to meet Santa and Mrs. Claus!

Additionally, we’ve partnered with Pizza Hut to offer free Christmas Ornament Crafts 4 Kids with Ms. Mervyn at the Kids Arena Fieldhouse from 10 am until noon, and with Northern Lights College for free Public Skating at the Pomeroy Sport Centre from noon - 3 pm.
