Remembrance Day Service
November 4, 2021
Update - November 8, 2021: Following further discussions by the Fort St. John Royal Canadian Legion - Branch 102, this year's Remembrance Day Ceremony will allow in-person attendance at the Cenotaph on the corner of 105 Avenue and 102 Street. The ceremony will begin at 10:30 am. To ensure the safety of all, please maintain physical distancing. The virtual live-streamed service will still be offered for those who would rather remember from afar.
While the Royal Canadian Legion is hosting the annual Remembrance Day Service on November 11, 2021, it will look slightly different this year due to the continuing COVID-19 pandemic. Residents are encouraged to participate virtually in the online service that will be live-streamed on the Fort St. John Royal Canadian Legion - Branch 102, City of Fort St. John and Energeticcity.ca Facebook pages beginning at 10:15 am.
The Fort St. John Royal Canadian Legion - Branch 102 and the City of Fort St. John encourages all residents to take a moment at 11 am, wherever you are, to observe a moment of silence to honour our veterans and those who continue to serve and protect our country.
Due to the outdoor service at the Cenotaph, we ask that you do not visit the Cenotaph between 10 am and noon on Remembrance Day. If you wish to pay your respects at the Cenotaph, we ask that you do so at another time.
Please show your support by purchasing a poppy, donating to the Royal Canadian Legion, or putting a poppy in your front window.
