North Peace Cultural Centre Mediation Update
December 10, 2021
Chief Administrative Officer Milo MacDonald and Board Chair Connie Surerus have issued the following joint statement.
“Earlier this week, the City and Society held their first mediation session. The session allowed for positive dialogue, and both parties left with a better understanding of each other, including the intention to engage in another session soon. As a result, both the City and Society head into the holiday season with a renewed sense of optimism for a solution that ensures the community’s best interests. All facility user bookings and rentals will be honoured during this period, and we continue to work together to further the arts and cultural fabric of our community.”
“Together, we encourage everyone to check out Pop Up Gallery North and Peace Studio North between December 10 and 18. This exciting project, put on by Peace Gallery North, in partnership with the City of Fort St. John, North Peace Cultural Society and the Northern Grand Hotel, showcases some of our community’s local up-and-coming artistic talent. For more information, visit npcc.bc.ca/peace-gallery-north.”
