Modified Santa Claus Celebrations released

Due to the COVID-19 pandemic, the City of Fort St. John is modifying the annual Santa Claus Celebrations.

“As a Winter City filled with children of all ages, the annual Santa Claus Parade and Festivities are highly anticipated. As with other gatherings, this year will be a little different. I have heard from a jolly old elf that the City’s recreation staff have worked to bring a week-long program of activities to celebrate winter and the holiday season,” said Mayor Lori Ackerman.

Beginning December 1, this week-long celebration features an outdoor adventure in partnership with the Fort St John Public Library, a guided snowshoe tour, best-decked house and business contest, Holiday-themed crafts, complimentary movie screenings and more. Additionally, on December 5, there will be a pop-up Fireworks Show live-streamed for everyone to enjoy at home.
