2021 Community Award Nominations Now Accepted

Nominations are now being accepted for the 2021 Community Awards. With the success of the online 2020 Community Awards Gala, we are already planning for the 2021 Community Awards. The 2020 Community Awards Gala reached over 5,600 viewers on various social media platforms. This year's theme is Acts of Kindness: A Reflection on Covid-19 and the virtual gala will take place on April 29, 2021. 

The Community Awards allows us to publicly recognize and honour the individuals, groups, and businesses whose talents, dedication and generosity have contributed greatly to life in Fort St. John. For 2021, the award categories have been slightly revamped, and include Youth, Humanitarian, Recreation and Sport, Arts and Culture, Business, Lifetime Achievement Award, and the Mayor’s Citizen of the Year.

Nominations can be completed online at www.fortstjohn.ca/community-awards, or packages can be picked up at City Hall, the Pomeroy Sport Centre and North Peace Leisure Pool. The deadline for nominations is March 8, 2021.
