Date & Time: November 21, 2024 (8:30 am - 5:30 pm)

Location: Pomeroy Sport Centre

Category: Community Events (See all events in this category)

Join the full-day workshop to receive guidance from Indigenous leaders from across the country. This workshop aims to inspire community leaders working with the Indigenous Peoples by emphasizing the importance of physical activity and introducing the concept of physical literacy. Physical literacy involves developing movement skills, building confidence to participate, and fostering motivation and enjoyment to be active for life. This course will empower participants to support individuals and deliver quality sport and physical literacy programs in their communities. We encourage recreation leaders, teachers, volunteers, coaches and all other interested individuals from the Peace River Country and Northeast Region of British Columbia to apply. The workshop will be held in the West Meeting Room at the Pomeroy Sport Centre. For more information, please call 250-785-5785 or email dgreen@fortstjohn.ca.
