During the Canada Post strike, some City services could be affected; however, many services are available online, and alternatives are detailed below.
Mail and parcels will not be processed or delivered for the duration of the national strike, which will result in a delay in the delivery of important documents, notices, and other correspondence sent by mail.
If you expect a bill from the City, have a payment due to the City, or if you think you may have an outstanding balance, we encourage you to contact our Finance staff to confirm your balance, due date, and available payment options by calling 250-787-8150.

Business Licence Renewal Payments
All business licences expire on December 31 each year. Renewal notices are sent out in November by email or mail.
Due to the Canada Post service disruption, those who opted to receive their renewal notices by mail may not receive them in time. Consequently, they may not renew their licences on time if they usually mail their payments and renewal notices.
Any business licences with an outstanding invoice after January 31, 2025 will be cancelled as per the City of Fort St. John Business Licence Bylaw 2563, 2021.
